I never worked for big bad companies but even the “green, progressive” ones wore me down eventually, there just aren’t any companies in the modern world over a certain size that aren’t scummy one way or another. That’s why I only work for myself now.
I almost worked in NGO but it didn’t work out in the end, I could still be curious to check that out at some point.
To be fair selling (hardware) worldwide is much more than just enabling shipping to every country. Even some very established companies can’t do it. Sure you’ll have some crappy companies offering to just ship you the product and then everything else is on you but that’s not the right way to do it.
Had your pretty run-of-the-mill road to hardcore experience in WoW, complete with the long term semi-hardcore guild I stayed in the longest, helped managed, got in a relationship with the GM and moved countries over it, etc. Eventually tried to go full hardcore, did for a bit and quit the game a few months later. You know your standard stuff…
I can agree with this but I do wish it involved fewer loading screens and clicking through each time. If you’re gonna skip the “realism” to make it more convenient then make it actually convenient.
With that said despite that and the fact I’d love to fly the ship over the planets manually, I’m really liking it so far (2h in).
