I test games for a living and most of the time wine runs perfectly fine. You can also just use umu laucher which does everything for you.

Also I don’t really get your point. Who’s forcing you to use wine instead of proton?

You are right about proton. But the tedious configuration part is not true. Proton and ge-wine(now UMU) do the same thing, i.e applying custom patches. Wine base package is not expected to do this.

Tbh without epic I doubt the game would’ve survived 2020. If you recall, the whole fanbase was unhappy with how things were stale. Epic didn’t improve anything obviously but the free to play did boost it’s active nunber of players. Nevertheless fuck epic.

It’s pretty much the same in terms of maps and gameplay. Had some regressions like removal of trading system and other things i forgot. Has voice channel now. Servers are the same except there are more now. It’s still fun for a quick match or two.

I noticed this. I was thinking in my head that critics means they usually be critical but a lot of the times it just feels like an ad with these big studios. I loved game informer tho, but unfortunately it got shut down this year and now I have no reliable site to check :(

I think it’s more than that. I’ve seen lot of English games by non Chinese devs have thousands of chinese reviews. I thought steam was pretty big in china. Wish someone who knows a thing or two help me understand the userbase comparision.

I haven’t played the game. I’m not a fanboy but this game has so many creators making content since way back to the trailer launch. Almost all major outlets made articles about it since then. This was considered one of the anticipated games of this year. Idk millions of views and million and half playing are all chinese according to other commentator above you.

That’s no excuse to try to get a user’s account banned. You might want to read up on some of their tweets. The ceo is also a sexist and a racist. The steam group had like 1000 people now it has almost 200,000 after the whole debacle. Reputation is earned not given. SomeOrdinaryGamer made a good video highlighting stupidity from both sides.

If they are proud of their work, why try to hide it.

They also write. But regardless of what they do, it doesn’t directly go into the game. Developers still gave the final say. A lot of gamers are missing this. But if I was a game developer I wouldn’t want to work with a consultancy company created by a racist/sexist. Hopefully the company makes changes or developers choose a better firm.
